Boviet Solar Accelerates America’s Sustainable Energy Transition with Major U.S. Manufacturing Expansion and Record 2025 Milestones

Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd., a global solar technology company specializing in advanced monocrystalline PV cells and Gamma Series™ monofacial and Vega Series™ bifacial PV modules, has marked 2025 as a landmark year, highlighting major investments, manufacturing expansion, and record shipment volumes in the United States.
Founded in 2013, Boviet Solar has evolved from a single manufacturing facility in Vietnam into one of the industry’s most bankable solar technology companies. In 2025, the company significantly strengthened its U.S. presence, reinforcing its long-term commitment to domestic manufacturing, job creation, and clean energy deployment.

In April 2025, Boviet Solar commissioned its first U.S. PV module manufacturing facility (Phase I) in Greenville, North Carolina, following an investment of nearly USD 294 million. The 3.0 GW state-of-the-art facility manufactures the company’s high-performance Gamma Series™ and Vega Series™ PV modules and employs 374 skilled workers across production, quality control, and logistics.
Earlier, in January 2025, the company announced construction of its U.S. PV cell manufacturing facility (Phase II), also located in Greenville. The advanced 3.0 GW facility will produce high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and employ more than 900 workers across manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and operations. Together, the two phases represent a combined investment of approximately USD 400 million and are expected to create more than 1,300 local jobs, forming a fully integrated U.S. manufacturing campus.
Boviet Solar also reported record shipment volumes, delivering 9.2 GW of PV modules to the U.S. market since inception, cementing the United States as its largest and most strategic market. The company supplied modules to several major utility-scale solar projects, including the 745 MW DC Hornet Solar Project developed by Vesper Energy—one of the largest single-phase solar projects in the country.
During 2025, Boviet Solar expanded its U.S. utility-scale customer base, securing new partnerships and long-term supply agreements with leading developers, EPC contractors, and independent power producers.
The company’s financial strength and product reliability continued to receive global recognition. Boviet Solar retained its BloombergNEF Tier 1 PV Module Manufacturer status, ranked among Wood Mackenzie’s Top 10 Global PV Module Manufacturers, and was listed in Sinovoltaics’ Top 10 Most Financially Stable PV Module Manufacturers for 2025. The company was also included in PV ModuleTech’s Top 20 Global PV Module Bankability Ratings for Q4 2025. Its products have consistently been named Top Performers in Kiwa PVEL’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard since 2019.
Technological innovation and sustainability remained key focus areas in 2025. Boviet Solar advanced the adoption of P-Type and N-Type monocrystalline PV cell technologies and smart module designs to improve energy yields and reduce levelised cost of electricity (LCOE). The company also strengthened its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, aligning operations with UN Global Compact principles, enhancing supply chain traceability, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, conserving water, and reinforcing worker safety standards.
Looking ahead, Boviet Solar said it remains focused on completing its Greenville PV cell factory, expanding partnerships across the U.S. market, and delivering high-performance, bankable, Made-in-USA solar products that support job creation, local economic development, and America’s clean energy transition.
