“Leading with Hydrogen Energy, Contributing to Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality” Themed Commentary Event Launched in Beijing

Driven by the strong wind of the “dual carbon” goal, hydrogen energy is advancing towards the light. On December 3, 2025, the themed review event “Leading with Hydrogen Energy, Assisting the Dual Carbon Goal” was officially launched in the lecture hall of Area A of the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Park. The event is based on the keynote of “future perspective, capital stance, and industrial depth”. A “Carbon Exploration Officer” observation group composed of professional reviewers, internet celebrities, and representatives of key media has injected new impetus into building the capital into an “internationally leading and world – class” international hydrogen energy city.

During the sessions of representative speeches and expert sharing, the sparks of ideas continued to collide. Internet celebrity Yao Ning sighed based on his own observations: “I used to think that hydrogen energy was far from our lives. Today, I realized that it has already been integrated into multiple fields such as transportation and energy. This is a vivid portrayal of the capital’s green development.” You Xiaoli, the vice – president of Pear Video, said that they would record the innovative practices of the hydrogen energy industry through the camera lens, so that more people could see Beijing’s responsibility under the “dual carbon” goal. Internet big V @Yuan Guoqing directly said: “Such an event is very meaningful. I will share what I see and hear with my fans and encourage more people to participate in low – carbon actions.”

In the following sharing session, Lü Qingbin, the director of the Electromagnetic Institute of the Beijing Institute of Metrology, started with the topic “When ‘Low – Carbon’ Becomes the Underlying Logic of Technology” and explained in simple terms how technology empowers the “dual carbon” goal. “From the laboratory to the industrial line, every technological breakthrough is promoting the transformation of the low – carbon concept into reality.” Hu Fangfang, the vice – president of the Beijing Institute of Quality Inspection and the director of the Intelligent Vehicle Institute, focused on the construction of the hydrogen energy testing platform and shared her views. She said: “A high – quality testing platform is like an ‘accelerator’ for the industrial explosion, which can escort enterprise innovation and enable the hydrogen energy industry to develop more steadily and further.” Ouyang Xun, the chairman of Beijing Qingpu Chuangneng Technology Co., Ltd., shared the development process of “The Evolution of the Hydrogen Core: From Laboratory Samples to Low – Carbon Travel Modes” and told the touching story of the enterprise’s efforts to overcome difficulties in the core technology field.

After the sharing session, the observation group started an immersive exploration tour. At the National Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Inspection and Testing Center, everyone on – site observed the fuel cell extreme environment test and the high – pressure hydrogen cylinder impact test. The interactive experience in the naked – eye 3D technology exhibition hall allowed everyone to intuitively feel the development context of hydrogen energy technology. In the “Safety Red Line” challenge Q&A session, everyone unlocked hydrogen energy safety knowledge through professional explanations. Entering the stack manufacturing workshop of Beijing Qingpu Chuangneng Technology Co., Ltd., the members of the observation group witnessed the birth process of the core components of hydrogen fuel cells. Some members also participated in the simple assembly of some stack modules under the guidance of engineers. “Only by touching these precision components with my own hands did I realize that every hydrogen – powered vehicle represents the painstaking efforts of countless R & D personnel.” One of the big Vs said with deep feeling.

At the hydrogen energy exhibition in the northern area of the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone, the interactive sand table of “The Journey of One Degree of Hydrogen” vividly demonstrated the full – chain standard support system from hydrogen production to hydrogen utilization. Measuring equipment such as hydrogen dispensers and hydrogen quality testing equipment gave everyone a deeper understanding of the industrial safety guarantee. Subsequently, the observation group went to the Haipuer Gas Station and on – site observed the entire hydrogen refueling process of hydrogen – powered buses and logistics vehicles. “I used to worry about the safety of hydrogen energy and the inconvenience of hydrogen refueling. Today’s experience completely dispelled my concerns. I believe that hydrogen – powered vehicles will become more and more popular in the future.” A visitor said after the experience.

From the ideological resonance in the lecture hall to the on – site exploration in the industrial front – line, this themed review event is not only a “panoramic scan” of the development of Beijing’s hydrogen energy industry, but also a “mobilization order” to build consensus and stimulate actions. A media representative participating in the event said: “As recorders, we should not only show the technological strength of the hydrogen energy industry, but also tell the inspiring stories behind it, so that the concept that the ‘dual carbon’ goal is not just about subtraction but a ‘growth pole’ can be deeply rooted in people’s hearts.”

It continuously improves the hydrogen energy industrial ecosystem, transforms hydrogen energy technology from an industrial hot – spot into people’s well – being, and uses green energy to drive the high – quality development of the capital, injecting continuous “hydrogen” youth power into writing a modern Beijing chapter of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
